Abortion rights are workers rights, plain and simple. And as a labor leader, I'm proud to partner with EMILY's List in doing the vital work to ensure that our elected officials are focused on protecting all of our rights. From organizing to training to campaigns, EMILY's List does vital work.
EMILY’s List is expanding the relevance of electing Democratic pro-choice women and showing how much representation matters—in city halls, state houses, in Congress, and in the White House. That’s why I’m proud to be a member of the EMILY’s List Creative Council and Board of Directors.
I was running for the Senate for the first time…. At that point, there had never been a woman elected to the Senate from my home state. And there had never been a Latina elected to the United States Senate. But thanks to the support from EMILY’s List and so many of our allies back home, we changed that.
The EMILY's List fellowship has given me experience and training to take my passion for public policy into running for office. I know I can make a real difference in people's lives and change the world for the better as an elected official.
